About This Place

Keunjib Restaurant in Pacheco, CA, is a delightful gem for anyone craving authentic Korean cuisine combined with a welcoming and homey dining atmosphere. Located conveniently at 5921 Pacheco Blvd and nestled intriguingly within a bowling alley, Keunjib offers not just a meal but a warm experience that transports you straight to the heart of Korea.

The extensive menu here showcases the richness and diversity of Korean flavors, perfectly captured by standout dishes like the Spicy Pork Dolsot Bibimbap, where each spoonful bursts with the vibrant, spicy, and smoky notes of tender pork mixed with fresh, crisp vegetables nestled in a sizzling stone bowl. The Spicy Pork BBQ and Bulgogi BBQ are equally mouthwatering, serving succulent, marinated meats that melt in your mouth, embodying the classic Korean barbecue experience.

Not limited to just traditional fare, Keunjib also offers an array of comforting soups like the heartwarming Sundae Soup and the richly flavored Spicy Galbi Jjim – a slow-braised short rib stew that perfectly balances spice and depth. For noodle lovers, the 28 Dolsot Ramen and the Dumpling Ramen provide layers of umami with each savory, steaming bite, bringing authenticity and robust flavors that are rare to find in the East Bay.

Reviewers consistently praise Keunjib’s food for a reason. One guest fondly recalls how the menu brought back childhood memories of Korea, especially noting the authentic army stew that avoids the overly sweet adjustments some other places make. Others rave about the LA Galbi and the bibimbap, highlighting the genuine Korean flavors that satisfy even the most discerning palettes. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful, yet lively enough – with a TV providing subtle entertainment and the adjoining bowling alley adding a layer of casual fun, making it an ideal spot whether for a family dinner or a laid-back night out with friends.

What truly elevates Keunjib is not just the food but the warmth and attentiveness of the family-run team. Several diners mention the hard-working and friendly staff who treat customers like extended family, enhancing the dining experience with genuine care and hospitality.

Moreover, Keunjib’s unique blend of Korean and American options – from classic Korean dishes like Spicy Squid Stir Fried and Jokbal (braised pig’s trotters) to American comfort foods such as a juicy BLT or a comforting Grilled Cheese Sandwich – means there’s something for every craving and every diner. Whether you want to dive into spicy, intricate Korean soups or simply enjoy a well-crafted burger, Keunjib delivers with consistency and flavor.

In summary, Keunjib Restaurant offers an authentic, flavorful Korean food adventure with a unique twist—right inside a bowling alley. It’s a place where the food tastes like home, the service feels personal, and the atmosphere invites you to relax and enjoy. For those who value genuine, homestyle Korean cooking paired with friendly service and reasonable prices, Keunjib is absolutely worth discovering—and returning to again and again.

Solid Korean food, especially for the price! Extensive menu that reminds me of my childhood in Korea. Army stew is legit here, some places make it sweet for some reason. Sad I just discovered this place! Will come more often

Interesting location as it’s part of a bowling alley. I ordered off of the Korean menu and it was great. The cooking was very homestyle and it really brought back memories of the food I ate when I lived in Korea. Definitely recommend. I ordered the Dak dori tang (spicy chicken stew) and kimchi pancake. Service was great as well.

A Korean and American restaurant. We had the cold noodles, seafood omelet and a cheeseburger. The burger was delicious and the korean dishes were also good. The bill came to $50.00. Excellent selections in both menus.

Had a delicious full cuisine pork tofu soup with 8 different items for way around $20. Perfect spice at mild. Full menu has BBQ, soups/stews/ramen, fish, stir fry, biblimbob, rice and noodles. Peaceful place with TV on. Awesomely friendly and very attentive staff. Literally connected to the bowling alley, so it's a fun spot to be at too.

This place is a hidden gem with amazing Korean food. All the soups and BiBimBop are served in the hot stone bowls which crisps up the rice in the BBB.l and the soups come out boiling. The Sae Gam Tang, La Kalbi, and Japchae were the highlights of what we ordered. Everything was super delicious and came out very quick. Plenty of Ban Chan served with the meal and they specifically said we can keep ordering more of the ban chan. It is attached to a bowling alley which just adds to the ambiance. I heard someone order a cheeseburger so I think you can get non Korean food as well.
